A little bit about me
Since my parents are both classical singers, I came into contact with music at an early age. My musical journey started with playing the piano for a long time. Later, my interest for classical singing was stimulated by singing in the National Youth Choir for Women (a department of Vocaal Talent Nederland). After this, I decided to study privately with my uncle, baritone Frans Fiselier. In 2012 I started my studies at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, where I studied with Sasja Hunnego and received coachings from Phyllis Ferwerda. And then in June 2017 I graduated with a 9 and distinction. If you would like to read a bit more about my time in The Hague, click here.
During this time I was a very lucky bastard and got to sing Dorothée in a production of the Dutch National Opera Academy. Also, I took part in Opera Mosset and Salone dell’ Opera productions and I sang the roles of Jane and stationmanager in the newly composed operas ‘All Rise’ and ‘De Grens’ by Jan-Peter de Graaff. Next to that, I was part of the Hohe Messe tour, organized by the Royal Conservatoire and the Julliard School and directed by Ton Koopman.
After finishing in Den Haag, I continued my studies in Essen at the Folkwang Universität der Künste, in the class of prof. Rachel Robins. Curious about my studies in Essen? Click here.
You may have seen me in Magelone & Peter (Nederlandse Reisopera) as Magelone, the children’s opera Goud! (Dutch National Opera/Opera Zuid) or Lied voor de Maan / Une chanson pour la lune (DNO/Opera Zuid/la Monnaie) as the Mole.
I’m thrilled that Lied voor de Maan will be returning to the stage in October 2023.
In december 2022 I sang Odyssee in the production Odiezee! (Holland Opera), at the same company where I will be singing Doenjasja in Kersentuin this summer 2023. Will I see you there?
